Gab,
the thing I treasure most about your dad was his smile. Not his regular one, the one we got when we absolutely rocked the field (or court haha). Whenever he greeted us with that smile as we came off the field I knew we had kicked butt. Nothing made me feel better. And nothing made me want to be better as much as the pride and passion that his smile infused in me. That huge smile from ear to ear with every tooth showing, those eyes ablaze, and those fists pumping were the ultimate praise. He challenged us from day 1. U10 sprint to the trees and back, find the triangles, go baby! He constantly raised the bar for us and I cannot even articulate how thankful I am for all his help with my game. He truly cared. Every ounce of confidence I possess I attribute to him. He refused to accept anything less from us. I never respected anyone more than your father. His intensity and competitiveness will always be with me. Every time I step on the field I play for his smile. You know I'm here. I love you Gab.
Co-captains for life.
