Dan and Kathy, We are with you in our hearts and spirits even if not in person. I will always remember you both for the following...Kathy bringing candied sweet potatoes to Thanksgiving. Never having made them before you made one for each person plus. I think we were still eating them Christmas! Dan, having the patience to work with Dino. And your team beat my team at the touch football game that Thanksgiving......I think you guys cheated! Ha! Love you three! Janice and John, Cristian and Dino
Hi Dan - Word among your many friends and supporters is that you're in an even tougher struggle right now. We're so very sorry to hear that news as you've been fighting such a good fight. Carol and I continue to keep you and your wonderful family in our prayers. You play such an important role in our lives! Besides being such a wonderful, caring individual, you have been a terrific positive influence on Mark and Andrew. We also so appreciate the friendship you had with Jeff and all the support you have given him through your work on the Jeff Stone Tournament. What a great idea you had to bring into the mix the best high school players! Thanks so much for all you do for the sport of tennis and for making sure that young people focus on sportsmanship as well as their skills. You are the perf ect role model. Keep fighting! Love, Barry & Carol
Our family has so many memories of the Bonfiglis - of Dan, Kathy and Gabby - that I can't possibly begin to list them all. But what I treasure are remembering the days when Helen and Gabby were just babies and we lived behind each other and could walk across the alley to visit and "hang out." Dan was always around with his camera to catch them at play. We have so many pictures that Dan took that I am going to make our very own Bonfigli-Piper memory box and pull it out whenever I need to! Remind Dan for me that my tennis was always best when he was on the court with me coaching me...speaking of tennis...remind him of the time we were playing doubles, Kathy was very pregnant, and fainted on the court. One of the few times I saw him a bit panicky! But, all was well, obviously! Mark and I always enjoyed our hanging out time with you guys, doing sports things, participating in your Bonfigli Fitness Fun Run, watching the girls together, and so much more! From Friday playdates to girl's night out happy hours...Kathy you are a true friend and the Pipers will always be here for you and Gabby too - and anytime you need time in sunny South Florida, our home is open to you. I am also very grateful for the weekend I had in Vermont. It was my first time to watch the Tour de France and Lance Armstrong, and Dan, you were very patient explaining how the race worked, etc. I still wear my LiveStrong bracelet and always will as I think of you and your bravery. We love you all very much and are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers....Love,Sheryl, Mark, Helen & Maggie
