Good Morning Dan Kathy & Gabby
Can I say our only connection is soccer - no I don't think. Our relationship has grown over the years to include respect, camaraderie and most importantly friendship. All of the hours we have shared on the side lines cheering for and against each other have contributed to our very special and unique relationship. Who else but you, Dan, could explain over and over without the least impatience the same rules and regulations to the goalie motherwho never seems to remember - "why are they are getting another freekick?". I can not count how many times I have relied on your explanation to understand a call or lack of as the case may be.Of course there was the time I did not think I could ever talk to yourfamily again after the fabulously famous free kick of Gabby's that gave Essex the state championship Eliza's senior year - I knew I would, but Iadmit it took some time...The UVM fall season would not have been nearly as fun with out your passion and enthusiasm for the game. What a thrill for us all when Gabby scored her first college goal! Thank you for always being ready to hold my hand when those penalty kicks are being taken.You have been an inspiration on how valuable desire, will power and strength of character can be when we are faced with insurmountable obstacles in life.We have many treasured memories of soccer victories shared not to mention our wonderful conversations about life in general.
