Kind word for everyone...

I have many fond memories of Danny while we grew up together in the 1970's living near Lamplight Acres, attending Williston Central School and Champlain Valley UHS. I always thought of Danny as a genuinely friendly guy who was incredibly athletic, but never a "show off." He always had a kind word for everyone and was never pompous or overbearing. We worked together with my sister Denise and brother Dennis at the McDonald's on Williston road during the summer of 1976, and the fun times kept the work sane and bearable, even while bus after bus of Olympic athletes and supporters heading to the ’76 Olympics in Montreal, Canada kept us so incredibly busy. Danny and Denise had great times at the front counter serving all the customers, while Dennis and I slaved over the hot grill wishing we we’re up front with the cooler temperatures that the lobby afforded. I'm so sad to hear he's gone but so glad that I was one of many who got to know him and enjoy his contagious charm.
